New Article in Nature Vision Magazine

I’m pleased to share that my essay “Between Reality and Imagination” has been published in Nature Vision Magazine (Issue 10), the online magazine of Nature Photographers Network.

In the article I write about my journey from making “correct” nature photographs to working more intuitively with Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) – using the camera less as a recording device and more as a brush. I describe how slowing down, embracing motion and blur, and following the emotional rhythm of a scene helped me create photographs that feel more personal and expressive.

You’ll also find several of my images illustrating different ways I use movement in the field – from birds in flight and quiet waterscapes to more abstract, painterly scenes.
